A terrace, a pool or a garden gets the shade sail we cut for a deck — tensioned so it holds its shape, in the places where an umbrella or a pergola gives up.
The shade sail is an aerodynamic awning that gives you the feeling of being on a boat. It goes up easily and it stays tight. Unlike a pergola it needs no permit; unlike an umbrella it shades the part of the terrace you actually sit in, and no wind is going to carry it off. Shape and size are made to the dimensions you want — the form is free, and so is the choice of colour.
A sail is only as good as what holds it. We carry poles and fittings in a range of materials, finishes and dimensions, and every solution is adapted to the ground it stands on and to the look of the space — wall anchors where a wall will take it, masts where nothing else will.
We agree a date and we keep it.
Shade is wanted for a summer, not for the autumn after it. The delivery date goes in the quote, in writing, before anything is ordered or cut — and that is the date we work back from.
We use only top-grade fabrics and products, and we name them, because on a boat the name is the specification: solution-dyed acrylic that holds its colour in Greek sun, thread that outlives the cloth it joins, and hardware that does not corrode away from the inside.
